In one of the last races of the New England Road race season Lisa Berger managed 3rd place over all and 1st in her age group at the Ninigret Park criterium track. This 1 mile 5 turn course is famous for its crosswind and today was no exception. After 50 Minutes of racing it came down to a sprint between good friends Mindy Barnes, Janet Ramos and BFSC’s Lisa Berger. Lisa gave Janet a great lead out from the field allowing Janet to finish second, with Lisa in third for the annual event. Ed Blank of BFSC made his first US racing appearance on the same track where he was injured 5 months earlier. More important than his tenth place finish was that he felt comfortable in the pack even in the tight turns.
